The Bollweevils

This is the story of a band called The Bollweevils -- a band that never quite made it to the big time. It could be read, I suppose, as some kind of cautionary tale, but it is presented here purely to remember a fine band, some good songs, and some great friends. I hope that it brings back a few memories for those who were in and around Sheffield in the late 1980s, or who saw them gigging at various venues around the country. And for those who didn't know the band at the time, I hope you enjoy the music that still sounds pretty darned good over a decade later.

(It was some time after the band was formed that they found out that the name "The Bollweevils" had previously been adopted by an early incarnation of The Kinks, and our band (1985-1993), should not be confused with the 1990s punk band from Chicago.)
