(pseudonym of Denis McEoin, who also writes as
Daniel Easterman)
An academic,
graduate of Trinity College, Dublin; Edinburgh; and King's
College, Cambridge, better known for thrillers written by Daniel
Easterman. His supernatural stories mingle horror with the kind of
ambience generally associated with the Jamesian ghost story.
The Lost
was a
departure, being written in the style of a journal, à la
Dracula. His early books suffered from indifferent
promotion by HarperCollins, who eventually dropped him from their
list. Later work published by library publisher Severn House, and
the more detective-fiction oriented Allison & Busby.
